About Raj Patel, MD

Dermatologist

Raised in Shelby County, Dr. Raj Patel graduated Summa Cum Laude from Birmingham Southern College. Dr. Patel went on to earn his medical degree from the UAB School of Medicine under a full merit scholarship and graduated with AOA honors. After completing his dermatology residency at UAB, Dr. Patel completed his Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship at UAB training with Dr. Conway Huang.

Dr. Patel is a Board Certified Dermatologist and the only ACMS fellowship-trained MOHs and reconstructive surgeon in Shelby and Chilton County. Dr. Patel is committed to the health of your skin and is excited to begin practicing in his hometown.

In his free time, Dr.Patel enjoys college football, music, cooking, and spending time with his wife and 2 boys.
