About Anne Townsend Love, CRNP
Anne Townsend Love is a certified nurse practitioner who practices medical and surgical dermatology on the patients in her care.
She graduated from Washington and Lee University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in studio art. Upon graduation, Anne Townsend was accepted into the Accelerated Master’s in Nursing Pathway (AMNP) program at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. Throughout the program, Anne Townsend worked full-time at the UAB Surgical ICU while interning with many specialists, including dermatologists.
She has received specialized dermatology training over the course of her career and is also vice president of the Alabama Society of Dermatology Professionals. She is trained to biopsy and diagnose skin cancers, perform cryotherapy and treat acne and rashes.
Anne Townsend also serves as a clinical instructor for both UAB and Samford, mentoring students on all things dermatology.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and trying out new Birmingham hot spots with her husband and two golden retrievers!
