About Dr. Patel
Dr. Raj Patel was raised in Shelby County and graduated summa cum laude from Birmingham Southern College. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine under a full merit scholarship and graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors. After completing his dermatology residency at UAB, Dr. Patel completed his Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship at UAB, training with Dr. Conway Huang.
Dr. Patel is double board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He is the only ACMS fellowship-trained Mohs and reconstructive surgeon in Chilton and Cullman Counties.
Dr. Patel is committed to the health of your skin and is excited to be practicing in his hometown.
In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys college football, music, cooking and spending time with his wife and two boys.
